Quickplast PPG - The rapid tester for measuring and comparing body plasticity and flow behaviour

Precise Data with Quickplast PPG

During material preparation, it is often necessary to evaluate the mixing and kneading cycles of different processing systems in parallel. Test series must therefore be repeatable quickly and easily. Quickplast PPG has been specifically designed for this purpose.

You can test extremely small material quantities of just 0.05 liters cost-effectively while obtaining reliable and meaningful data. These fast and dependable test results feed directly into the development process, ensuring high product quality and economically efficient production. The Quickplast PPG is available as a plug-and-play solution with an integrated worktable and control unit, measuring 0.85 × 0.75 × 2.00 m. If required, the rapid mass testing unit can also be integrated into an existing table system, providing immediate access to key process data for product optimization.

Precise Measurement of Key Parameters

• Determination of flow pressure without wall friction
• Determination of the yield point

Defining Quality Assurance Parameters

• Specification of minimum and maximum values
• Comparative measurements

Analysis of Rheological Properties

• Structural viscosity
• Shear thickening (dilatancy)
• Rheopexy
• Thixotropy

ECT-KEMA Vacuum Extruder - PVP Series

Extrusion of Solid and Hollow Billets

PVP series machines from ECT-KEMA GmbH are used worldwide for the extrusion of ceramic billets. In both concept and engineering detail, these combined vacuum extrusion units set benchmarks in terms of energy-efficient drive systems, high-performance materials for extrusion channels and auxiliary equipment, precise monitoring of operating parameters, as well as excellent accessibility and ease of cleaning.

Each system consists of the extrusion unit and a perfectly matched pre-compression unit, connected by a spacious vacuum chamber equipped with large inspection windows.

ECT-KEMA vacuum extruders are available with cylinder diameters of 200, 250, 350, 500, 750, and 950 mm, providing the ideal solution for a wide range of production capacities.

ECT-KEMA AKD Series - Jiggering lathes

Turning of Ceramic Insulators

In addition to extruders for the production of solid and hollow ceramic billets, ECT-KEMA develops precision turning machines for shaping ceramic insulators with a wide variety of shed geometries.

These machines are particularly suited for the production of insulators used in HVDC (High-Voltage Direct Current) transmission applications.

With machining diameters from 200 to 500 mm and workpiece heights from 500 to 3,000 mm, the AKD series offers exceptional flexibility for processing a broad range of billet sizes.

Two billet clamping stations and a convenient automatic workpiece changer ensure fast, efficient, and uninterrupted production. Modern high-dynamic servo drives provide optimum power transmission during the turning process, while precision low-backlash guideways and ball screws guarantee outstanding machining accuracy.

Fast software adaptation for changing shed geometries enables maximum flexibility in insulator design and production.
